Welcome to RikiBreaks.com!
Welcome to the new website!
I started breaking in 2019 using my main Instagram page (@riki.berman), but didn't start taking it seriously until the summer of 2020. On July 15th, 2020 I created @riki.breaks and began running breaks on the 21st of that month. On January 15th, 2021 I officially became "Riki Breaks LLC", and now here we are today with a live website.
When I first started I don't think I could've ever imagined what this could've turned into. What started out as being something just for fun, turned into a job. A passion. A hobby.
For as long as I could remember, I've loved opening packs and hunting cards. I fell in love with the thrill of the rip. Growing up I couldn't always afford the flashiest products to rip for myself, so I mostly made do with retail. Once I was introduced to breaking through YouTube and big accounts on Instagram, I realized there's so much out there that I wouldn't have ever even dreamed of. Products that guarantee autographs, memorabilia, refractors, and so on. I wanted to be like the breakers and build my own platform.
After I started breaking, I set myself one goal: I wanted to build the best reputation possible. I wanted to be someone that customers enjoy breaking with. I wanted to make my breaks affordable and rewarding, so that I can maintain a close-knit group of people that continue to support me. I strive everyday to be the best person I can be so that not only do I feel good about myself, but other people feel good about me. I don't do this for the attention or for the money. I do this because I want to give back to the card community which has given so much to me. Even though I'm not opening product for myself, it's still fun. I get excited every time we pull something huge because it's satisfying knowing I'm boosting someone's collection.
There were instances where I considered giving up. Breaks felt slow to fill, I wasn't motivated enough, and I couldn't get my name out there as fast as I'd hoped I would. But thanks to some close friends (you know who you are), and some unbelievable support, I kept going. I'm forever grateful that I've been fortunate enough to do what I do and I'll never forget those that've helped me along the way.
I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us all because I know this is just the start.
I thank each and every one of you, and wish you all the best.
